I would recommend to my friends to apply next year, because it was great experience for me– opportunity to learn something more and to meet new people as well.When I have read an application for Alpbach summer school, I have seen it as scientific and research development project of young researchers, becouse I think that young, inteligent people from neighbouring countries must be involved, as a driving force behind the acession process.
